Could You Sponsor the Rainhill Beer Festival?

A Letter from Our Chair

The Rotary Club of Rainhill is well on with plans for their 18th Charity Beer Festival, which we believe to be the largest Charity Beer Festival in the Northwest.

Since we started the Beer Festival 18 years ago, and including our Father Christmas Sleigh, we have raised over £350,000 for local good causes and charities. It’s an outstanding amount of money and we look forward to making a substantial increase on that figure in 2022.

The event is held in a large modern, heated, marquee complex, supplied by Mahood Marquees, at the Recreation Club, Victoria Terrace, in Rainhill, on the evenings of Thursday 31st March, Friday 1st April, and all day on Saturday 2nd April. There will be over 100 barrels of Beer, a number of interesting Continental Lagers, and at least 20 Ciders, to taste. The popular Prosecco Bar will continue, and Red, White, and Rosé wine will also be available. There is a Drivers Soft Drinks Bar (free for drivers). Well over 2,500 people attended the event in 2019, and we expect more this year as the success and quality of the event is spreading to a wider audience.

All profits from the event go to local charities and good causes, and are made up of sponsorship, entry fees and the purchase of drinks, less of course the cost of putting on the event. Apart from the erection of the marquees all the manpower is provided by the Rotary Club of Rainhill, and their friends at no cost to the event.

There is a wide range of sponsorship available ranging from bar sponsorship, glasses etc., but the majority of companies and individuals sponsor a barrel of Beer or Lager at £100 per barrel, a price that has been held for 10 years, and includes free entry for yourself and 2 guests.

If you feel able to sponsor the event and /or advertise in our programme, or require any additional information, please contact me by email to ricshani@btinternet.com.
